Job Description

Concierge - Patrol Guard

Location: South Etobicoke (Dundas St & Bloor St W)
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $18.55 per hour

# of openings: 3

  • Evenings: 1500-1100, 1100-2300 weekends
  • Overnights: 2300-0700, 2300 - 1100 weekends
  • Swing: 1500-1100, 1100-0700, 1200-1200 weekends

Position Overview

Allied Universal is seeking an experienced and professional Concierge - Patrol Guard to support the safety and security of a residential property in Etobicoke, ON.

 

The ideal candidate will have previous residential security and concierge experience, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic security team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, sound judgment, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to residents, visitors, property management, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous experience in concierge security, preferably within a residential environment.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of concierge experience.
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and wireless communication technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada for up to 40 hours per week.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, occasionally climb stairs, and lift or carry items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with residents, visitors, contractors, and property management.
  • Availability to work overnights and rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site patrols and maintain a visible security presence.
  • Monitor CCTV, access control, alarms, and security systems.
  • Manage access and provide professional assistance to visitors and stakeholders.
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and service calls.
  • Enforce site policies and security procedures.
  • Document and report incidents, hazards, and unusual activity.
  • Maintain accurate logs and security documentation.
  • Support emergency response and coordinate with management and emergency services as required.
