Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Team Leader, Global Security Operations in Downtown Toronto, for a renowned financial instituation.  

 

Position: Team Leader, Global Security Operations

Location: Downtown Toronto
Department: Global Security Operations Centre
Reports To: GSO Operations Manager
Job Type: Full-Time – 6 Week Continental Rotating Shifts with day and night shifts (84 Hours Biweekly). All hours are in the office; there are no remote shifts for this position.

Pay Rate: $80,000-90,000

 

Overview
Allied Universal is seeking a dedicated and experienced Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) Team Leader to join our team at cleint's site. The GSOC operates in a 24/7/365 environment, serving as the intake, triage, and response hub for physical security occurrences across the enterprise, supporting our team members, facilities, and travelers. This role involves providing on-shift supervision and management while promoting a culture of collaboration and accountability within the team.

 

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management

  • Lead a diverse team of security professionals, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Supervise GSOC shift teams, facilitating timely and effective resolution of physical security occurrences.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of GSOC operations.
  • Foster an environment of accountability while encouraging team members to take ownership of their roles.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
  • Regularly review and update standard operating procedures to adapt to evolving physical security threats and challenges.

Mentorship & Development

  • Provide guidance and support to team members, facilitating their professional growth and skill development through a 3 tiered developmental plan.
  • Create and deliver ongoing coaching, training and skill development for GSOC team members to ensure high standards of response during incidents.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the shift operations of the GSOC, ensuring timely and effective response to physical security incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach to physical security across the organization.

Occurrence Management

  • Ensure incidents are triaged effectively, and timely alerts are sent according to threat level, business impact and proximity to client's site locations or employees.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in security operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Strong understanding of physical security protocols, incident response, and risk management.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, APP, etc.) are a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
