Shifts: Overnight, 1900 - 0700
Overview:
Allied Universal is currently hiring Security Guard - Mobile Patrol - Full Time to provide professional, front-line security services for a prestigious financial institution. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a background in corporate security.
Requirement:
- Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
- Experience with report writing and note-taking.
- Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
- Valid BC security guard license .
- Must be eligible to work in Canada 40 hours per week
- Must be able to provide a clear driver's abstract and BC Full class 5 licence.
- First Aid and CPR
- Must be at least 25 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :
- Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of personnel and property
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities
- Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols
- Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies
- Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken
- Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively
- Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation
