Job Description

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Shift Supervisor - Downtown. The general purpose and function of the Shift Supervisor encompasses the professional operation, administration, profitability, and quality assurance of uniformed services for a single shift at an Allied Universal client’s site.

 

Job Title: Security Shift Supervisor - Downtown

Job Location: Winnipeg Manitoba

Job Type: Full-Time

Shifts Times: Monday to Wednesday (1900 - 0700), Every other Sunday (2300 - 0700)

Pay Rate: $21.00

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-shift are performed In a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training)
  • Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
  • Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift
  • Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision
  • Respond to client requests
  • Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
  • Provide direction and instruction to subordinates in regard to the performance of their duties
  • Disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel
  • Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
  • Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
  • Make recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Must have Manitoba Security License
  • Must have valid class 5F driver’s license
  • Minimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful supervisory experience in a security-related Industry
  • Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Effective oral and written interpersonal communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately
  • Problem solving skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Able to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Able to compile, sort, and interpret data
  • Skilled in research, investigation, and in compiling information
  • Able to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
  • Attention to detail
