Job Description

Service Manager – Residential Guarding  - Hybrid
Location: GTA
Position Type: Full-Time
Work Model: Hybrid (Office + On-Site)
Salary: $56,000 – $61,000 per year (includes car allowance)

Other Benefits: Fuel allowance (non-taxable) + performance-based bonuses

 

About the Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, Residential as Service Manager – Residential Guarding you will lead and oversee security operations for a portfolio of residential clients across the GTA. This is a mid-level management role combines office-based leadership with hands-on engagement at client sites. You will manage a team of security professionals, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and maintain strong client relationships.

 

This role is ideal for a proactive, experienced security manager looking to step into a position where they can drive operational excellence, influence strategy, and grow professionally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Operational Leadership

  • Lead and oversee daily security operations across multiple residential client sites, ensuring staffing levels meet client needs and operational standards.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve security protocols, emergency response plans, and operational efficiencies to enhance client satisfaction and safety.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to site management teams, fostering leadership and accountability.

Team & Client Management

  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of security professionals to maintain high performance and operational excellence across sites.
  • Actively participate in recruitment and staffing decisions to ensure each client site is appropriately resourced.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively addressing concerns, and serving as a trusted advisor on security operations.
  • Lead client meetings, presenting operational reports, site insights, and recommendations to enhance service delivery.

Financial & Strategic Oversight

  • Drive contract profitability and client retention by ensuring operations performance aligns with financial goals.
  • Support branch budget planning, monitor expenses and implement strategies to optimize operational costs. .

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) residential security market to expand client base and service offerings.
  • Partner with sales teams to support proposals, provide operational insights, and help secure new contracts.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging security needs to inform strategic growth and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Represent the company at industry events and functions to enhance brand visibility and identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of management experience in a security services/guarding company, with preference for candidates who have worked in residential security services.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple sites, manage teams, and oversee operational performance at a managerial level.
  • Strong experience in staffing, recruitment, operational oversight, and client relationship management within the security services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of security operations, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client relationship skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and security management software.
  • Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean abstract.
