Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard - Gatehouse in Toronto.  

Job Opportunity: Security Guard - Gatehouse
Location: Toronto (Downtown)
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Schedule: 2200-1000 on Saturday's and 2200-0600 on Sunday's

Requirement: 5-year residency in Canada (for RAIC clearance)

Key Responsibilities:

• Access Control: Monitor and control entry and exit points, ensuring only authorized personnel and vehicles enter the marina.
• Visitor Screening: Check ID and credentials of visitors, contractors, and employees; issue visitor passes.
• Surveillance Monitoring: Operate and monitor CCTV/security systems to detect suspicious activities.
• Incident Reporting: Document and report incidents, irregularities, or security breaches.
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, alarms, or disturbances, and coordinate with local law enforcement as necessary.
• Customer Service: Provide assistance and information to visitors, promoting a welcoming and safe environment.
• Patrol Coordination: Communicate with other security personnel to ensure effective coverage.
• Regulation Enforcement: Enforce marina policies and safety regulations to maintain order and safety.
• Traffic Management: Direct vehicles at the gatehouse to prevent congestion.
• Training Participation: Stay updated on security protocols and participate in training sessions.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in security or a related field.
• 5-year residency in Canada (for RAIC clearance)
• G license, clean driver’s abstract, and 25+ years of age for insurance purposes
• Previous experience in security (marina or gatehouse) is an asset
• Valid Ontario Security License.
• Must be eligible to work 40 hours per week
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
• Must pass a background check, including a criminal record check.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 20 kg.
