Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard in Brampton, Ontario.  

Title: Overnight Security Guard - Art Gallery
Pay Rate - $17.60 per hour
Shift: 12 hours
Schedule: Continental 19:00 hrs to 07:00 hrs 
Location - Brampton Downtown

We are looking for a highly responsible and observant Overnight Security Guard - Art Gallery to oversee the safety and security of our art gallery during the overnight shift. The ideal candidate will work independently to ensure the protection of valuable art collections, staff, and visitors. This is a solo overnight position, requiring an individual who is capable of handling various situations calmly and professionally with minimal supervision. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Surveillance & Monitoring: Regularly patrol the gallery to monitor security cameras, entrances, exits, and the perimeter of the building.
• Incident Response: Quickly respond to any alarms, suspicious activity, or emergencies, including fires, medical situations, or security breaches. Call emergency services when necessary.
• Reporting: Document all incidents, observations, and security-related activities in clear, detailed logs. Report any issues to the appropriate gallery management personnel.
• Building Security: Perform regular checks to ensure all doors, windows, and alarms are properly secured.
• Crisis Management: Diffuse potential conflicts or security issues with effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Emergency Preparedness: Stay alert and prepared to respond quickly and efficiently to any emergency situations, including evacuation protocols.

Requirement:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in security, preferably in environments with high-security venues.
• Must possess a valid Ontario Security License.
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
• Must be eligible to work 40 hours per week.
• Must pass a background check, inluding a criminal record check.
