Responsibilities:
Monitor and control access to sites, allowing entry only to authorized individuals.
Conduct regular patrols to identify and resolve potential security risks.
Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies to ensure safety.
Operate and monitor CCTV, alarm, and access control systems.
Maintain accurate daily activity logs, reports, and incident documentation.
Ensure compliance with provincial and site-specific security regulations.
Collaborate with team members and client staff to maintain a secure environment.
Supervise, train, and support frontline security personnel (for supervisory roles).
Handle emergency communications and coordinate field responses (Control Centre roles).
Deliver high-quality customer service in person, by phone, and through digital channels.
Audit site conditions and enforce operational protocols.
Contribute to a culture of professionalism, safety, and accountability.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 1–2 years of proven experience in the security industry.
Supervisory roles require a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position.
Control Centre Operators must have previous call centre and customer service experience.
Skills & Abilities:
High attention to detail—especially critical for data entry roles.
Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reports and documentation.
Education & Certification:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant work experience.
Must possess a valid Provincial Security License.
First Aid certification is mandatory
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to provide documentation confirming eligibility to work 40 hours/week in Canada.
Must be at least 18 years old.
