Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Nova Scotia.  

 

Title: Security Guard

Location: Eastern Passage, NS

Payrate: $15.20 per hour.

 

Schedule: we are hiring for five open positions as per below-

Monday to  Friday 0800-1600 (full Drivers license required)
Monday to Friday 1500-2300 (full Drivers license required)
Monday to Friday 1500-2300 (full Drivers license required)

 

Saturday & Sunday 0700-1900 (part time, Drivers License not required)
Saturday 1900-0700 (part time, Drivers License not required)

 

 

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking Security Guards to oversee security operations at our NS sites. The ideal candidate is a seasoned guard with excellent communication skills, willing to work the mentioned shift, and able to manage the job requirements. If you have experience as a security guard, enjoy patrolling, is swift in computers and can maintain a high level of professionalism, we'd like to hear from you.

 

Requirement:

  • Six months of experience in a guard role in security.
  • Valid drivers license required.
  • Open shift availability.
  • Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Efficient with computers, ensuring effective patrolling and site security.
  • Responds to Emergency Situations such as fires, Chemical Spills, Medical Emergencies, Phone Threats, answers alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises.
  • Completes monthly, weekly, and daily tasks assigned.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including site management, in a professional manner.
  • Address and manage security incidents and emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Perform regular patrols and site checks to maintain security standards.
