Allied Universal is seeking Professional Airport Mobile Security Guard in Downtown, Toronto.
Position: Professional Airport Mobile Security Guard
Part-Time: 18 -24hours
Payrate: $18- $19.55
License: G class required
Shift Time: Weekends ONLY- Saturday-5am-2pm(9hrs) & Sunday -5am-2pm(9hrs)
Location: Airport Downtown, Toronto
Key Responsibilities:
As an Airport Mobile Security Guard, the role will require the following activities to be performed:
- Escort visitors to and from designated locations within the premises.
- Conduct patrols of designated areas within the airport premises to detect and deter suspicious activities or behavior.
- Directing or controlling movement of vehicles (including commercial and public vehicles) at specific locations.
- Monitor security checkpoints and screening procedures to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with airport security regulations.
- Ensure the separation of vehicles and pedestrians by controlling crosswalks, lane separations, areas designated by the GTAA from time to time.
- Perform routine inspections of airport facilities, including terminals, gates, and baggage claim areas, to identify security vulnerabilities and address any safety hazards.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms, and take appropriate action to resolve situations in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with airport personnel, law enforcement agencies, and other security professionals to coordinate security efforts and maintain a safe and secure environment for all stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and investigations, and prepare detailed reports for management review.
Qualification, Licenses, and Certifications Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid G driver's license
- Must be eligible to meet Transport Canada Security Clearance and Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC), requirements.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Must be 25+ years of age due to company insurance requirements on vehicles.
- Clean driver's abstract, due to insurance requirements.
Specific Requirements:
- Must be a Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizens, due to government security clearance requirements.
- Preference will be given to candidates holding a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Capable of working both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team
- Able to meet the physical endurance requirements to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
- Willingness and ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Must be able to successfully pass AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operator Permit) training and testing, for operating vehicles in airside and restricted areas.
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
- Licensing requirement are subject to province and/or local laws and regulations and will be required prior to employement
