Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Security Professional with FORMER MILITARY/POLICE experience FOR SHORT-TERM WORK (Salary: $40-$50/hour)

 

We are currently seeking former military/police professionals for a short-term project in mid-2024 at one of our Central Alberta industrial sites.

Position: Security Professional

Shifts: 12 hours

Schedule: 7on-7off, day/night rotation

Accommodations: Hotel and per diem provided

Travel: Must be able to commute to Calgary or Edmonton Hub, Additional travel from these Hubs can be provided by Allied Universal.

Responsibilities: Ensure the security and safety of site, monitor and control access points, respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, collaborate with the team to maintain a secure environment.

Requirements: Former military or police background, strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail, excellent verbal, and written communication skills, a valid Alberta Security License or able to obtain prior to starting the project.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
  • Licensing requirements are subject to province and/or local laws and regulations and will be required prior to employment.
  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background check
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
  • Able to:
    • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
    • Occasionally lift or carry up to 20 kilograms
    • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
    • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
