Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Site Manager. The Site Manager will implement policies and procedures that protect, maintain, and respect the confidentiality of business operations and the airport authority’s security programs while providing, competent, responsible, customer service-oriented personnel who fully understand the priorities. The Site Manager will employ a command structure that clearly defines the levels of responsibility and authority pertaining to the various security staff positions.

 

POSITION: Site Manager 
LOCATION: Waterloo, Ontario

SHIFT: Full Time -Mon to Fri - 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all contracted services are performed in the manner and at times specified and provide administration and supervision of the Contractors employees
  • Selection and placement of direct reports, productivity, and professional development of team members
  • Coordination, tracking and reporting of training of all security personnel
  • Monitor and enforce compliance of requirements under the Official Languages Act, including active offers in both English and French and providing bilingual service(s) to the public
  • In consultation with Airport Authorities, implement modernized security processes and systems to help the authority achieve a proactive and engaged security posture
  • Maintenance of an effective security reporting and guard management system/database to facilitate provision of security related records and statistics to meet Authority needs
  • Have oversite of shift scheduling and staffing plans, as well as ensure that all information is available in real-time through a Guard Management Scheduling system which tracks historical schedules and identifies any late attendance or shift vacancies
  • Prepare a daily, weekly, and monthly report system that will meet the needs of the Airport Authorities
  • Responsible for personnel scheduling, and meeting training requirements
  • Participate in Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation development
  • Attend meetings with the authorities and other airport stakeholders and tenants as required
  • Ensure all records and event history shall be retained as protected and confidential information

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED, or at least 5 years of verifiable employment history
  • A valid G license for obtaining required clearances
  • Additional licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Must be eligible to attain and maintain the appropriate level of Federal and Transport Canada security clearance
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Criminal Justice, Airport Operations, Training/Education, or related field of study
    • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Criminal Justice, Airport Operations,
    • Training/Education, or related field of study combined with five (5) years of experience providing employee instruction and professional development, preferable in a security industry setting
    • High school diploma with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience providing employee instruction and professional development, preferable in a security industry setting
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing a team, providing employee instruction and professional development, preferably in a security industry setting
  • Experience in planning and coordinating, as well as providing administrative and clerical work
  • Intermediate to advanced skills level in Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Google Suite applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal to no management oversight
  • Attention to detail, ability to take initiative, and multitask
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to create graphs and pivot tables with Microsoft Excel to provide meaningful reports to the management teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
